As a little girl I always imagined that grownup jewellery should look like this, only to be disappointed years later to find that reality is so bland compared to make-believe… The ‘Stolen Diamond’ ring (very bottom) will probably end up being my engagement ring :). I might just mention in general that Sretsis succeeds in every way Alannah Hill has not. AH’s ultra-feminine vintage inspired concept conform perfectly with my personal aesthetic, but unfortunately all those lace and frills won’t compensate for poor craftsmanship. AH holds itself to be luxe, but a label that sells looks rather than quality clothes is just another chain store in my eyes (albeit an extremely overpriced one).

I know exactly what you mean – I love AH but I find that the quality of her clothes have really deteoriated over the years. I bought 2 brand new jackets off the rack in the last 6 months and within a few weeks buttons fell off both. I find her style becoming less original, and it takes more than a few random bows to say that its a real designer purchase.

Yeah I don’t know what’s happened to her. It’s like just put as much bows and frills on everything then slap on a huge price tag!
