I don’t know why, but Anna Sui is very rarely seen in Australia. Maybe the designer’s decadent and eccentric oriental aesthetic is lost on the mainstream Australian, who associates makeup with highly ornamental packaging as barbie toys.
The lipstick tube features that signature Anna Sui intricate lacquered wood look design. It reminds me somewhat of the Etude House Dear My Blooming lip colours, but even more over the top.
Here are the swatches. All three lip colours are sheer and highly glossy.
600 turns out to be more a nude than coral. It’s a bit too subtle for me.
400 is a blue based deep pink, and is the most pigmented of the three.
370 looked really pretty in the tube, and applies as glittery as it looks. As the specs are very fine, the overall look is more shiny than sparkly, and is subtle enough for day wear. On the down side, the glitter particles gives you an annoying grainy feel on your lips.
