As someone who collects clothes like Pokémon cards—Gotta catch ‘em all!—surprisingly, one of the things I’ve never gotten around to owning is the black and white striped tee shirt. Its inherent stylishness speaks for itself, really. But on top of that, it’s got that Parisian slash seaside holiday connotation (thanks to Coco Chanel’s 1917 reinvention) that I just love. Like all basics, however, not all are created equal. I love this oversized style from ZLZ.com. It’s all about the details, the low set shoulder seams, the flared sleeves and cool round neck. I went all blacks and whites with a black felt hat and my chiffon maxi skirt, the added a dash of colour with my pastel Cambridge Satchel Company Satchel.
