It’s been a while since I’ve worn my Maison Martin Margiela x H&M Candy Wrapper bag. Recalling how I peed a little in my pants when I got my hands on one, it’s amazing that I’d almost forgotten that I had it. I guess it’s just the perils of the Raison d’être of a fashion addict – there’s always the tantalizing siren’s call of the next new obsession, and the fear that you’ll wear a good thing out.

Today’s outfit is what I like to think of as ‘Hospital Gown Chic‘. Just go with me on this one. While I certainly didn’t go out to mimic the hospital patient ‘look’, I was simply following my current love of boxy shapelessness, androgeny and of course, white everything, and inevitably, you do start looking like you’re about to go into surgery (especially with my suspiciously nurse-shoe-look-a-like Converse). None-the-less I’ve decided that I like it. I’m loving this slip skirt with an on-trend split – despite the fact that it was from the sleepwear section of my local Salvos – if you remember, I wore this in my Underwear Outerwear post a couple of weeks ago.

I also feel like I’ve finally somewhat did my Candy Wrapper Bag justice. It’s such a striking piece that you almost have to just be naked with it. The next ‘best’ thing to being naked I guess is to wear the most innocuous outfit you can think of.
