When I love something, I either do one of two things: put it away for ever, or wear it pieces, neither of which makes much sense! My BLK DNM Leather Jacket is in the latter category. I feel like I’ve made a mission out of finding any excuse to wear it. Not a hard one, givng it does go with practically everything. And I couldn’t be happier to finally be able to wear it now that the weather in Canberra has well and truely started to chill.
I have so much trouble finding knits that fit well on me because of my broad-beyond-average shoulders. I figure women’s brands clearly don’t make them for my type of frame, so I’ve started looking for them everywhere else. This chunky grey sweater was a surprising find on the men’s sale rack at Harris Scarfe, of all places. I love that it’s got extra long sleves so I can pull them out from under my BLK DNM Leather Jacket.
Recently I’ve been experiencing a paradigm shift in shopping for clothes. Rather than buying all the most quirky pieces, like my collection of impractical perspex heels, I’m always looking for clothes to actually live in – comfy tees and flat shoes. That might sound pretty obvious to you, but for me it’s akin to experimentation. After the past decade of unrelenting maximalism in fashion, I think comfortable clothing is increasingly turning into a fashion statement!

Thank you! Yes the loafers are definitely Celine inspired. Recently Celine shoes are getting copied a lot by all the lower end brands! I don’t mind wearing lookalikes sometimes as long as they are good quality.
