For winter coats, the roomier the better, in my opinion. So I’m very much into the cocoon coat this winter. Not only because it sets you up with infinite winter layering opportunities, but – I might be crazy – it’s also so much more flattering than the fitted trench look. Sure, you can cinch up a trench to make your waist look tiny, but you’re pretty much limited to wearing a camisole underneath or, forget about having a figure. I don’t know about you, but I’m more interested in actually staying warm. Speaking of which, I love the fact that Canberra has a proper cold season, so I can have a meaning collection of one of my favourite things – knits. This one is an unbelievably soft number from Whistles.

In other news, what I’m wearing to death at the moment is my Céline inspired tartan slip on sneakers from Jessica Buurman. I love the slight platform, giving an extra bit of solidness to this shoe. Slip ons bring back a lot of memories for me about being back in China as a kid. These were pretty much the shoe that all the Chinese children and old people wore around. That, and the clear jelly sandal. It’s so nostalgic seeing these things being worn around now as the current trend. And I’m sorry, but for some reason I can’t say ‘Slip on‘ without feeling like I’ve said a dirty word. You too?

Oh my gosh, you have a new blog design! I love it!

I actually live in the tropics of Australia, so we’re never, ever cold enough to dress like you are! Love the bag and the sweater 🙂

  3. […] I fell in love with these sports luxe geometric floral print shorts from Front Row Shop, which is also available in a cropped T shirt in the same print for matchy-matchy perfection. I decided to be a tomboy (again) in this ASOS organza panel T shirt and my Jessica Buurman slip-on sneakers. […]
