The evidence seem to amass everyday that I’m just a grandma on the inside. How else would you explain my infatuation with shapeless knits, comfy cardigans and good old tapered trousers? My dream outfit could probably be found at any typical lawn bowls game on a Sunday afternoon. Just as well that I’ve always had awesome luck with finding this category of clothes (shall we call it, grandma-chic?) at op shops. This beautiful wool jumper, for example, is one of my favourite op shop finds. I’m just in love with the simplicity of it, and the quality of the wool needs no explanation. I found it perfect to match with my asymmetric skirt (thanks to Pop Cherry), a warm pair of socks and my Rag & Bone Newbury Boots. No accessories required.
Speaking of my Newburys – I’m so glad I picked them up on sale at Green With Envy boutique this summer. They are the most comfortable and warm boots for winter, and I’ve been wearing them with just about everything. It just goes to show that it pays to invest in the next season’s wardrobe early.
I have to give a special mention to Eileen from The Style Avenue, who took these amazing photos for me on the weekend. Can you believe this is the first time she worked a 5D Mark II?
