I love menswear inspired styles like oversized jackets, slouchy T shirts and tailored trousers. Luckily, these are all things which are readily found at any local op shop.

When thrifting, ‘oversized’ and ‘slouchy’ are really just synonyms for ‘stuff not in your size’, and, instead of looking for menswear inspired female clothing, you just buy men’s clothes.  Therefore, I never miss my chance to give the men’s section of an op shop a good browse.

Since I’ve started this Thrift of the Week series, I’ve been trying to create outfits completely consisting of thrifted clothing. However, it’s somewhat difficult as what you find at op shops is inevitably random, and I’ve never had much luck with second hand bags and shoes (let’s not discuss underwear). This time, aside from my ASOS pony clutch and L.A.M.B. Oxley heels, I’m head to toe op shop gear, with this perfect camel coat ($15), men’s v-neck T shirt by Mossimo ($7) and tailored wide leg trousers ($7).

What have you thrifted lately?
