When you can’t think of a title for your post, just start listing off your current obsessions. Fancy that they all made it into the same outfit, though.

Of course, you already knew about my infatuations with leather and the Proenza Schouler PS11. As for mules, I’d been sitting on the fence about them for a while. Mules always reminded me too much of the 90’s vibe – an era that, I have to confess, harboured some of my most hated trends of all time (hair butterflies anyone?). However, in the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but be interested in that asymmetry and off-balance feel. The reincarnated mules is clean, minimal, and decidedly feminine without the frills, ostensibly everything I’m into right now. After careful consideration, I’ve now decided that the mule is my favourite shoe category of the year. I guess it’s an acquired taste, like Turkish delight and century eggs. Yum!

There’s just so much one can do with mules.With this outfit I tried to juxtapose them with a bit of grunge, with some tartan drape from Seed Heritage and my hard edged BLK DNM leather jacket. Funny how last week it was all beige, and this week I’ve gone back to black (as always).

The pink wall? I don’t think that requires much explanation. When you find one, you just have to shoot next to it. Check out my girl Heather’s outfit taken at this location on her blog Heastorm Blog. It’s cool that we have completely polar opposite styles.
