Thrifting is all about the thrill of the hunt. You never know what you’ll find, or if you’ll find anything at all. Some days I do my rounds at two or three different op-shops and come home with nothing but a couple of novelty mugs. Other days I find so many amazing things that I just can’t buy them all. This month, my hunt for all things Breton stripes and white leg wear was paying all sorts of dividends. I bought this Breton knit and tapered white trousers in the one thrift sesh. Weekend outfit, sorted.

When it comes to trousers, I definitely think they don’t make them like they used to. Or maybe they didn’t always use to make them for girls with perfect pins. Nothing I’ve seen in Zara fits a girl with actual thighs, like these white trousers do on me. As for this Breton knitted top, it might just be my all time favourite thrift find. It’s so perfectly Parisian chic (a la Ines de la Fressange) that I want to build my whole spring wardrobe around it…and probably will.
