Remember that awkward moment at the op-shop when you picked up a strapless top, and then realised that it’s actually a kid’s maxi-skirt? If that were me, I’d have bought it anyway. I say, when thrifting gives you lemons, make Lemoncello (not that I actually drink alcohol, of course). The key is to keep an open mind. Back split skirt, front split skirt, it’s all a matter of perspective. These days I’ve taken to wearing my skirts backwards, or sideways, or whichever that achieves maximum coolness. For me, this thrifted denim pencil skirt, the wrong way around, was all sorts of right. It was perfect to blue-out in, with my (also thrifted) navy turtle neck. Both the skirt and turtle neck were just $7 each. Why the heck wouldn’t you thrift?

Thanks so much hun! I think what makes thrifting so much fun is being creative about how something old and dated can be given a modern interpretation!
