The fantastic finale to this year’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival was the Australian Fashion Labels runway show, featuring its 5 formidable Adelaide labels, Cameo the Label, Finders Keepers, Keepsake the Label, Jaggar the Label and The Fifth Label. True to A.F.L style, the five collections were fashion forward, with exciting silhouettes and statement prints made in wearable separates and one pieces for every occasion. Every girl is going to want a piece of it.

Cameo the Label showcased their signature style with the use of directional prints and bold silhouettes in a crisp black and white and deep wine colour palette. Head designer, Siham Elmawey is always on point, delivering low hemlines and high necklines, with the kick flare bringing a fierce feminine edge. Cameo the Label continues to define the prints of the season, this time with an enigmatic and visually complex fractal print and animal print in electric hues. See the full gallery.

Peplums, plaid and pyjamas came together on the Finders Keepers catwalk. We saw delicately draped fabrications in fine stripes, crafted into romantic rompers and two piece pajama inspired combos. Oversized, boyfriend style bed time blazers were also a highlight. See the full gallery.

Oriental inspired prints interspersed Jaggar the Label’s street-chic collection. Fanciful florals featuring the flight of the cranes were pared back with chambray button ups and slouchy fits. Key pieces were executed in soft, reflective fabrics in black, deep red and navy hues. See the full gallery.

Keepsake the Label introduced bib style necklines with barely there spaghetti straps. Midi, maxi and mini lengths were all explored, in front splits and fit and flare silhouettes. Digital floral prints blended with feminine lace detail. See the full gallery.

We spied laidback luxe and greyscale grunge at The Fifth Label. In typical A.F.L style, stripes and jumpsuits made their appearance, mixed with faux leather and florals. Clashing prints and relaxed silhouettes gave the collection a fun and fearless aesthetic. See the full gallery.
