Last week I teamed up with Perth Jewellery Boutique and Gallery, Tayha Designs, to put together a special photoshoot, featuring my favourite minimal jewellery pieces from Tayha Deigns’ Mt Lawley boutique.
Natalia De Burgh’s ‘Smile’ collection is inspired by the simple elegance of the crescent moon, with a single, delicate diamond set off-centre. This classic shape is rich in symbolism, associated with femininity, magic and of course, the whimsical interpretation of a smiling face. The horizontal crescent necklaces in particular, bring to mind the Cheshire Cat of Alice in Wonderland mythology.
Rei Minohara-Starke‘s ‘Wattle’ and ‘Branch’ collections, are connected to nature in the most absolute sense. The branch and wattle rings are Stirling silver cast into molds of real branches and wattle blossoms. The effect is the perfect preservation of the essence of these organic living things in the form of precious keepsakes.
This photoshoot is featured in full on Tayha Designs’ blog, including an interview with yours truly, chatting about style, jewellery, and all things Perth related.
I’ve been loving minimal jewellery lately. I have picked out a few things I want but I’m trying to be good with money..

Yes! Investing on good quality pieces is a good idea, so there’s no hurry!
