The flare sleeve (or bell sleeve) top, how to wear it, and where to buy it.
The the flare sleeve (or bell sleeve) top is immediately recognisable as quintessentially 70’s (along with flared jeans and fur vests), but the re-imagined flared sleeve top of 2015 is clean-cut and sexy-sleek. It caught our attention big time at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2015, when all our favourite bloggers arrived at the Ellery show wearing its now signature drapey cone-sleeve styles. The flare sleeve is also making appearances, teamed up with other cult favourites of the moment, including the crisp button down, the off-shoulder and the deep-v-neck.
How to wear flare sleeve tops:
The flare sleeve top is feminine but sharp, and can be easily dressed up or down. Pair with flared jeans for a casual head to toe 70’s look, or wear with tailored bottoms in the same colour to create a fierce two piece ensemble.
Where to buy flare sleeve tops:
The Ellery and Hunter the Label flare sleeve tops are my top picks, but there are also on point styles from Topshop, ASOS and Missguided.
Who’s wearing it:
Life of Boheme | Tres Monikh | Camila Carril | Harper and Harley | La Lunar | Caroline Sandström

I’m so glad you found this useful! I’m sure more brands will bring out this style soon, so there’ll be many more places to find it!
In some way I like the black ones more than the white ones 🙂
love, Turn it inside out
I think there’s a huge difference in the vibe between white and black, and I would definitely style them very differently!
I like the flare sleeves either when they are a bit more structured or when they’re super flowy. I think the flowy version is a bit more feminine.

Yes definitely. I prefer the more structured look myself, as I’m not much of a girly girl 🙂
Love this! I am actually on the lookout for one – thanks for making my job easier!!

Thank for you this inspirational post! I used to wear a flared sleeve sweater about five years ago, but then it was out of style for a while. I am so glad it’s back:)
