Button-Front-Skirt

The button front skirt, how to wear it, and where to buy it.

The 70’s is one of my favourite fashion eras, and I’m so excited that another one of it’s greatest hits are back. The button front skirt brings to mind big blonde waves, platform shoes, and running in both with tiny pistols, Charlie’s Angels style. The cut of the moment is A-line, with mini, knee and maxi lengths all equally on point, and most definitely in blue and black denim, and camel suede.

How to wear it:

The button front skirt is a variation on a basic, but is most definitely a statement pieces, so it’s best styled back with simple t-shirts and sweaters. With a longer length, instantly add leg factor by unbuttoning a few from the bottom to create a haphazard split detail. Reference the 70’s with some boho strappy shoes and fringe accessories, or update this retro style by pairing it up with modern tailoring and clean lines.

Where to buy the button front skirt:

American Apparel has the quintessential button front denim mini skirt of the season, and my suede pick has got to be from Top Shop. As for the button front maxi skirt, it’s 7 For All Man Kind all the way.

I’m still in a love/hate relationship with this type of skirt because I still haven’t found the perfect one to suit my style. The A skirt is just to casual! But I do love the button down denim pencil skirt… I have to dig deeper to find one!
    Still, it’s an awesome trend!

I’m really starting to like this type of skirt, especially the looks you picked out! Might have to invest in one myself now! x

  3. Freya says :

I love seeing how versatile these skirts are to style, they’re super flattering too. My favourite would have to be the midi length suede one though all of the looks you’ve chosen are gorgeous!
