Mules are the best – yes, still!

I’ve been completely mule crazy ever since those triangle heeled works of art from Celine SS2014 (which continue to be an unrequited dream). So here we are, seasons later, should I maybe have gotten over my ‘mule phase’ by now? Not a chance. Frankly, the facts sway the case in my favour. Mules are a true classic that always make a statement, and in the most effortless way, especially when they feature a gigantic buckle that would be envy of the most impressively decked out buccaneer. And it naturally follows that my money is on the Senso Willow I mule being the shoe of spring.
Many tip for wearing the mule is letting it take centre stage. I’ve pared this outfit back to blacks and grays, with some of my best loved leather pieces of the moment from Zaliah and Casey Tanswell. Of course, the very charm of the mule is that sexy ankle action, so an ankle baring pant is a mule’s best friend.

I know what you mean! Winter doesn’t get too cold in Australia so we are lucky that we get to wear summer shoes most of the year!

I am totally team mules too! You know it haha. They are just so cool and classic and I just don’t want to think about my wardrobe without them. These Senso ones are high on my wishlist ever since I saw them on your instagram – thanks for that by the way! I also love that you combined them with an easy & cool outfit!

I definitely couldn’t see my wardrobe without them either! I’m always about the simple and minimal shoe, so I end up wearing such boring styles, but the mule is a good balance of simple and statement.
