When I think about the amount of forward planning, skill honing, and product layering that goes into achieving that ‘effortless’ messy bob, I can’t help but wonder how future generations will remember our ultra-superficial Instagram archives – I can already see the ‘2010’s Selfies’ coffee table book, featuring many a beachy tussled peek-a-bang. The anatomy of the messy bob? Well it must of course start with a voluminous but weighty silhouette at above-shoulder-length, a crown height of, oh, lets say, 1.5 cm, and an all but eyesight impairing off-centre part that sort of says, ‘I’ve more important things to do than to blow the hair out of my face’.
Me? I have no qualms with outsourcing the aforementioned feat, and so off I went to The Next Hair Boutique in Perth to defer my messy bob endeavours to the very talented Charlie, who executed this fresh cut, style and sun kissed balayage. I’m in love! What do you think?

If I ever let my hair grown, would be at the length as yours is. It is chic, classy and edgy at the same time.
You look stunning!

Aw thanks so much! I’m very lazy with my hair so I always tell my hair dresser to give me a cut that doesn’t require too much styling in the morning, hehe.
Love your hair! May I know if your hairdresser styled your perm hairdo or was it permanent?
Hi girl! This was just done by a hair straightener, no perm 🙂
I loved everything about this post. From the hair to the pyjama shirt to the pictures! I am too lazy to do my hair in the morning too. Should I go for a Bob cut? ????
